Maui's Moon Dancer...
Aloha from the sky,
She is soft motion in the silvery night,
Dancing over ghostly blue waves,
She wears a star flower twinkling at her ear,
Undulating sea flows fluid as goddess tears.
The rhythm of her breautiful light soothes,
Calls dreamers to fall in love like children,
Washes over the sands of sleep's ocean,
Playing night magic over the sea she dips,
Glides behind Pele's mountain,
Vanishes softly below the sea,
Only her star children are seeded in the fields,

The need to break routine and get offline sometimes:
Sometimes we need to refresh. Other times, we need to assimilate and absorb new information. Last week, I was off work. My wife & I spent 5 evenings of it at Borders with tea & books. I was doing serious reading on Web 2.0 subjects from several sources, getting good sleep, really in a good space for learning. It opened up all kinds of ideas and possibilities, some in-progress already and some yet to come. I have new avenues of research to pursue as well. Sometimes, we get so good at and caught up in what we're already doing, we forget to open up space for new and better things to come into our lives. Breaking the pattern several times a year is good if you can. Take a Bit Break!

Web 2.0 Heroes - the book
This is a completely awesome and mind-blowing book. It features interviews with 20 of the biggest movers and shakers in web-based applications considered "Web 2.0" and has them explain what they're doing now, how they got there, and what they see in the future of the web.
I've read about six or seven of the interviews so far, and it has already greatly increased my knowledge of what's possible online.
I highly recommend checking this book out.

Blog consolidation or amplified posting tools
I'm considering how to maybe consolidate some of my (over 20) blogs so that I can either post to all at once, or just post to a couple of them.
I have several niche blogs, a few personal hobbies, and a few more serious ones. However, my most successful blog to date has been The Great Lakes Zephyr - Wind Energy & Hydrogen Journal.
The Zephyr usually gets anywhere from 20-100+ hits per day, depending on how regularly I can keep up with posting it. It really needs to have its template updated, and I need to figure out a better way to keep up with posts there. However, it is a very well-defined niche, and my interests are so eclectic that I'd feel confined just having that blog.
I would definitely keep Word Whizzyrds at the least. That would let me drift to other topics at leisure, a more personal-interest blog for now.
At any rate, I'm looking into how to be more effective with at least one or two of my blogs. the rest are just fun stuff. Hmm.
